We went to both Goodwill stores here in town, Stepping Stones (a Christian ministry thrift shop) and Vietnam Veterans.
I found two books for homeschool that I need for this coming year-$3 total at GW.
Brittany found two pairs of shoes (tennis shoes are Nike, the others are Justice) for $6 total.
Brittany also bought Disney's "Alice in Wonderland" for Bethany and a "Groovy Girls" mermaid for Brooke- $2 for the movie and $1 for the doll.
I have really enjoyed looking at all the other blogs and seeing what everyone's found and the neat revamping they've done to the finds. I've gleaned some really good ideas and once my husband actually gets reemployed, then maybe I can justify putting a few of those ideas into action! :)
You have a beautiful family. I read your love story while visiting for the Todays Thrifty Treasures party. Its very much like my own love story.
ReplyDeleteYour thrifty treasures has me feeling nostalgic for when my house was full of little ones. Three of our five kiddos are all grown up now and we just have one teenager daughter and an 11 year old daughter left at home.
Lucky you, you found things that you actually need, not just want! I should stick to that, because I have too much stuff! I love looking at that picture in your header every time I visit your blog. What a sweet looking bunch of kids!
ReplyDeleteLooks like you found some great deals! Especially the Nikes!
ReplyDeleteAnd you've done it again! I'm glad you found what you needed.

ReplyDeleteI always checked out the thriftstore's when we homeschooled. I found so many wonderful books and games. As a matter of fact we just donated a complete set of Saxon Math today (probably should have sold it on ebay come to think of it)! Great finds!
