Some Common Terns Heard in Oklahoma
“Deal” as in “What’s that switch for? Oh, it’s a little deal that turns the light on and off.”
“Toll Road” as in “You throw money in this little bucket and we let you drive on our road.”
“Casino” as in a little thing called ‘gambling’.
“Quick Trip” as in “If you don’t stop for gas here, you can take a Quick Trip to the next corner where there is always another one.”
“Sooner” as in “The sooner the Sooner football season starts the better.”
