Tristan: "My potato is too hot."

Travis: "If my potato was so hot it was flaming my brain open, I wouldn't eat it."

Travis (5): "Mom, for my next birthday or Christmas I want the other Slugterra blaster with the other
bullets, but maybe you can't find that. In that case, I'll just take some random toy."

Travis was talking to me about a bunch of random things, as five year olds do.

Travis: I think this shirt is made of wool.

Me: I don't think so. Do you know where wool comes from?

Travis: Sheep. Everyone knows that.

Whatever you search for with Siri will show up in Safari as suggestions for searching. I guess Bailey wanted to listen to Jesus Loves Me. This is what was in my search box.

My six year old Bailey came into my room while I was watching the news. They were talking about a police chase.

Bailey: "Those two guys who were running from the cops? Well, they should have known better."

Exactly.

Monday Musings

Just a few Sanchez kidisms...........

Brennan (2):  "I have a butter winich?" (peanut butter sandwich)

Bailey (5): "Brennan got into my san hanitizer." (hand sanitizer)

Trace (8 months) knows how to lean forward and give a smooch. So cute.

Tristan (9) bursting into song "Mom, OOOOOHHHHH, the weather outside is..........really nice so can we go outside and play?"  (Instead of doing math, but hey, who can pass up 75 degrees in January?)

Travis (4) has an imaginary friend named "Brat". (Fitting.) Anyway, our children's pastor knows this and asked him if Brat had come to church this morning. Travis looks at him with a completely straight face and said, "No. He had a dentist appointment."

Monday Musings..........

Bailey (5): "Brennan's shirt is all wet.":

Me: "Well, I guess she just spilled something all over herself."

Bailey: "It's called water, Mom."

Monday Musings: Country Edition

After a very long, exhausting day of homeschooling........

Me: "So, tell Dad what we learned about in homeschool today."

Travis (4): "Penguins!"

Me: "And where do penguins live?"

Bailey (5): "In the country?"

Right now Brennan is very into books and songs. But, she combines all the songs she knows into one big song that goes something like this.......

"Itsy pider, wassshhhh, down,
cccc, eee, ehhh, geee,
bus go wish wish wish, all town
ashes, ashes, fall down!"

Travis (4) at the zoo: "Mom! Look at that gecko! It's fascinating!"


Travis also fell asleep unnoticed with half a pack of gum last week. Let's just say it took a fair amount of peanut butter and scrubbing to get it off.
